“The Change Triangle" is a map. A guide to carry you from a place of disconnection back to your true Self. It's a step-by-step process for simply feeling better.”

Hillary Jacob

By following the map of the changing triangle in every step of life, you are better able to track your inner experience. Since staying in our core emotional state ensures more vitality and contact with life, it’s helpful to know when we are drifting away from the core state.

Anxiety, shame and guilt and all the other types of defenses that are employed to avoid emotions are placed at the top of the triangle, and they have somatic markers. For example, once you get acquainted with the triangle, you can make sense of your anxiety as a sign that a feeling is arising and you may not have opened enough space for it. That becomes your guide to listen deeper and identify if sadness, anger, fear, disgust or joy might be present, and whether they need your attention in response to an event of someone.

Once we give our feelings space, the anxiety, shame of guilt subsides and we stay more centred and in contact with ourselves and the present. While, listening to our feelings also helps us to make informed decisions in response to what we need.
